Janet headed back to the ATL

Sad times.

Here’s hoping…

This will give you a view into my mindset.

Did some shopping. Purchased some fuel injector cleaner and some power steering fluid at Walmart. Since I had half a tank I went ahead and put the fuel injector cleaner in planning to fill up at Livingston. I had a hard time getting it in the fuel tank and was thinking this was a very badly designed bottle. When I was almost done I realized that I had put almost all of the power steering fluid into the gas tank. I freaked out and jumped into the car. I was thinking I needed to get at least to Livingston as fast as I could. Along the way I was praying that the engine wouldn’t lock up. I made it to Livingston and filled up the tank thinking that would help dilute the fluid. I was able to Google it and found that it is more common than you would think. Diluting with more gas was the most common response. Thank the Lord I didn’t kill my engine!

Seeing the towns around Glacier

Found a lake. Got some fresh cherries and shopped for Native American items.

Can you guess the name of this town? Wait for it….. Big Fork.

Needs to have Bigfoot standing beside it.

The view for dinner.

The view from our room.

Crazy looking tree.

The flowers were amazing everywhere we went.

Janet thinking she could do a little better with these flowers.

Our fancy room for the night.

Maybe our next home..

Hike to Iceberg Lake

On the trail.

We got to see Mr. And Mrs. Moose.

We made it.

Check out the Dr. Sues trees.

The water was a little cool for July.

The adventure team claims another spot.

Someone told Janet this was bear grass.

Bonus waterfall.

And the mountain goat.

The mountain goat wanted to come home with Janet.

Glacier National Park

Going to the Sun road

The adventure team in action.

Hey look…. an actual glacier!

That’s us with the Glacier. Note when you read this you must slur the words like you had brackets to get the intended effect.

Our lunch spot.

On a hike.

We are such adventure hikers!

Got some hail on the way out. Stopped under a tree to minimize the bounce off our heads.

Check out the video of the hail.

Janet is in the house!

Picked Janet up at the airport. It was wonderful to see her. We did a small Bozeman run and then on to Gardiner. We had dinners out, relaxed and just enjoyed each others company.

We had a great time with the ACMNP group. Glad Janet got to meet them. God wink was that the closing scripture they used was the one Janet has tattooed on her wrist (Joshua 1:9)

From our walk

ACNMP Sunday

Katrina gave the message.  This was the verse she used.

Luke 10:38-42 38 Now while they were on their way, Jesus entered a village [called Bethany], and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home.39 She had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was continually listening to His teaching. 40 But Martha was very busy and distracted with all of her serving responsibilities; and she approached Him and said, “Lord, is it of no concern to You that my sister has left me to do the serving alone? Tell her to help me and do her part.” 41 But the Lord replied to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered and anxious about so many things; 42 but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part [that which is to her advantage], which will not be taken away from her.”

Katrina talked about focusing on the why. She is the only person in the four person group in Canyon that has a car. She helps the group get around to ACMNP events, services at Norris and some fun events. Well her power steering went out on her car. While she could drive it doing so was very hard. It was also dangerous due to the narrow winding roads.

To get it fixed she had to drive it to Cody which is 2+ hours with perfect traffic, which is never the case especially since NPS is doing construction in that area.

On the drive to Cody she was asking God why. Why issues with her car when it was needed by her and the team doing ministry in Canyon. Why issues with her car when money is tight for her.

While asking God why she was strongly reminded of the story of Mary and Martha and to not be anxious. She made it to Cody fine with a friend following to bring her back. She found out that the issue with her car was under a recall so it would be free. She also learned that she loved the drive to Cody and now that is her favorite drive so far in the Yellowstone area.

I loved how she put it. God turned her why into a wow!

Let me say that again.

God turned WHY into WOW!

We went out hiking together between the morning and evening services.
