Sip and Paint

Snow cat and snow beast hanging out.

Went to a Sip and Paint event in Mammoth. I think I may be posting this for the wrong day, but that is what I get for being behind with my posts. The goal was to not sip the water that you cleaned your brush in. It was a lot of fun.

Behold the masterpieces created.

Headed to Cooke City – The door has the final say

The driver door has been getting harder and harder to open. With the cold and my yanking it finally gave up the ghost. I was left standing with the broken door handle in my hand.

So now to open the door, you unlock it and then go to the passenger side and reach over or you can hold the key in the unlock position and it will roll down all the windows at the same time allowing you to reach in the window and open the door. These are both nice options when it is snowing like crazy.

Saw some moose. Very cool as they are hard to find.

Cooke City is like another planet.

Saw a fox on the drive home.

Snow Lodge Day Three

We went out for a walk before heading back to Mammoth.

Nature will always find a way. Check out the green with the snow.

Do you see Santa in his hat?

My new place is the one on the right with the antenna.

Time to head out.

Snow Lodge Day Two

This vintage ride was out front the Snow Lodge, very cool.

While I was working Janet went out for some cross country skiing.

I did get to see the Old Faithful Inn when no one was in it. They are going to show The Shining in it for the workers on the last day of the winter season.

Off to Winter Wonderland – Snow Lodge

Well it didn’t start off wonderful. The Bimmer wouldn’t start so had to get everything in the scooter car. With the snow, ice and cold the scooter was almost to its limit. All this slowed us down so we were cutting it close to make the snow coach. Not quite half way there the gas light came on. Since the scooter is new to me I wasn’t sure how long it would go with the light on, but we didn’t have time to stop and get gas. I was sweating bullets when I dropped Janet off to confirm our ride. On top of all of this work was pinging me about a trip in May that had to be sorted out just then. I was a wreck by the time I took my seat on the coach.

It really was like a completely different world. I will share the pictures as any words I would add would not do them justice.
