Janet flies out

OK, I am not going to spin out of control and post a bunch of sappy items. I am just going to say that I put the love of my life aka soulmate on a plane to Atlanta today. If you want more details please refer back to other sappy love sick posts that I made.

Promise to get back to non-sappy posts.

Closing down Lake Lodge

Off to spend the night at Lake Lodge for the last night of the season.

On the way we got to see some mountain goats. The baby is so cute and fluffy!

Happened to be going by Old Faithful when it went off.

Setting on the porch at Lake Lodge after we closed the place down in more ways that one.

Took a stroll by the lake, which is the largest highest lake in the US.

Check out the roots on that tree. Nature always finds a way.

A view of the lake from the east entrance side. The land you see in the distance is the furthest from a paved road anywhere in the Continental US.

This guy was there to welcome us back from our trip.

Another hiking trip into the Canyon area.

Trying to get my miles.

Best hiking partner ever. Janet does challenge me. Physically by making sure I keep a good pace and don’t get my Georgia southern boy meander on. Secondly she challenges my mind. Deep discussions about God and Faith along with easy ones like life goals and plans.

Right after the above picture was taken the giant glacial boulder starting rolling. I had to jump in front of it and sacrifice myself for Janet.

I did get better which is why I could keep adding to the blog.
