AKA Craters of the Moon
Really felt like you were on the moon or another planet.
You can tell it was lava.
We went into a cave. Had to do a little crawling to get out. Felt like a gofer popping up out of it’s hole.
I had no idea it was this big. Really cool to see.
It’s legal to jump from the bridge day or night. We saw some base jumpers packing their chutes. Maybe an idea for later.
The best travel partner EVER!
Claim to fame for this area is more water goes over per minute than Niagara Falls.
Can you see the rainbow?
And a visit to Snake River Canyon is not complete without Evel Knievel.
You can see the dirt ramp in the distance.
Pre-race action included some mean games of Boccie Ball.
On race day events leading to the race.
Seeing some vintage Indy cars.
Checking out the crazy checkered flag outfits.
Some supper cool fly overs!
And then the racing action.
One of the drivers I pulled from the pool won! Money won is twice as sweet as money earned.
I flew out of Bozeman with Atlanta being the destination. Of course I was sick with sinus and other issues. I had to rest in Atlanta a little more than I planned before heading out to see mom and dad. It was great to see them and spend some time with them. It had been a long time since I saw them. I was also really happy to spend some time with my bib brother Edmon. It wasn’t long enough but it was great catching up with him.
Then it was back to Atlanta and then on the road to Indiana so wee Janet’s family.
Saw this in Bloomington while walking with Janet’s brother Mike. Was funny and creepy all at the same time.
Jim’s girls came over to Mike’s (Janet’s dad) place for Christmas eve dinner. It was a lovely time.
Jim’s gift of the hats was a HUGH hit.
This was so cool. The long range stealth bomber did a fly over.
In the stands getting ready for racing…
And the race is on!
After I finish at the race a job is waiting on me at the airport. I just need to pick up some lighted cones on my way there.
Some lovely Indiana ladies at the race this year. One of them owns my heart.
Just a few folks at the race. Now for the long walk to the car.
OK if you made it this far, one sappy line. I can’t put into words how great it was to see Janet. I thought my heart would burst when I saw her at the airport.
Leaving very early to go see Janet!
I can’t wait.
Come Monday I will be holding you tight!
Went to the National Restaurant Convention. Learning about food prep and presentation, menus and parings. I will look at things differently now. My main focus was food kiosks. Spoke with 35 vendors to find 4 that could work.
Chicago was nice. It rained a lot so I didn’t get to see much of the city.
Can I interest you in a new set of china?
