Janet is in the house!

Picked Janet up at the airport. It was wonderful to see her. We did a small Bozeman run and then on to Gardiner. We had dinners out, relaxed and just enjoyed each others company.

We had a great time with the ACMNP group. Glad Janet got to meet them. God wink was that the closing scripture they used was the one Janet has tattooed on her wrist (Joshua 1:9)

From our walk

ACMNP Sunday

Isaiah 6 In the year that King Uzziah died,

Logan spoke about how this was a big deal with the people of Israel. While a small statement to start the chapter with it means a lot. Uzziah reigned for over 50 year. This was the only leader many people had know. Many people felt lost.

I saw [in a vision] the Lord sitting on a throne, high and exalted, with the train of His royal robe filling the [most holy part of the] temple.

Even with people feeling lost God was still in control.

“Woe is me! For I am ruined,
Because I am a man of [ceremonially] unclean lips,
And I live among a people of unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.”

When we get a glimmer of God we see how low we really are.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Now you have heard this quoted a billion times. Logan unpacked it this way.

  1.  Something big happens in your life. He focused on someone leaving or being removed that you looked up to. For him is was his pastor. His pastor  helped him get the place with ACMNP. His pastor encouraged him with his faith. Logan looked up to his pastor greatly. Logan’s pastor got caught up in something that he shouldn’t have been in and was removed from his position. Logan’s pastor was his King Uzziah. Who or what is your King Uzziah?
  2. In turning to the Lord we can feel so small and worthless especially when we are dealing with our King Uzziah moment.
  3. Being in our King Uzziah moment and feeling so small if we trust and reach out to God he can use us. Here I am. Send me.

Cascade Lake Trail to Observation Peak

This one was 10 miles and went from nothing to maybe I could die up here.

NPS is uping their game on the bear warnings.

It started out a a nice sunny day walk.

Passing by a nice lake.

Then for the turn uphill.

Notice the lake position.

And the storm clouds. The ones that dropped pieces of ice and rain on me. Also had some thunder and lightning which was nice as I was the tallest things at times on the mountain.

Hey, where did the trail go? I lost the trail multiple times and had to go through high brush and downed trees to find it again. Oh, and that also included a few falls.

And for all my effort I was rewarded with knee deep snow to get to the top.

It’s the middle of June, right?

Found the top and …..wait for it….. it was locked!!!! No getting out of the storm.

Hey there is that lake again.

Me with the lake. This is where I had a very late lunch.

After the rain the flowers really opened up.

On the way home I saw some fuzzy antler guys.

Hey wait for me…

Then a baby to end the day.
