Last ACMNP for Summar 2019

Stahr hit a home run for this last service. She used Romans 8:28 – 8:30

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. 29 For those whom He foreknew [and loved and chose beforehand], He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son [and ultimately share in His complete sanctification], so that He would be the firstborn [the most beloved and honored] among many believers. 30 And those whom He predestined, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified [declared free of the guilt of sin]; and those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity].

She talked about that no matter who you are or where you are you are called by God to be a witness and to share His love. She gave herself as an example of giving the message and not having any titles or certifications.

Her take away point was how God uses us as we are.

God doesn’t call the qualified he qualifies the called.

Well this Sunday is the last service for ACMNP. Caleb left after the morning service. I got to meet Caleb’s family. They picked him up to drive home. Stahr and Katrina handled the evening service.

Shakespeare in Arch Park

Went to the morning service with ACMNP. Logan had food poisoning so he was resting. I prayed and felt for him as I know my experience how bad that can be. We did a circle service as it was two other Xanterra employees. Talked about life issues and how God stands in the gap with up. How we can love others that do us harm by the help of God’s love.

The ACMNP team gave me this.

Didn’t stay for the evening service as Shakespeare in the park in Gardiner was doing Henry IV part 1.

ACNMP Sunday

Katrina gave the message.  This was the verse she used.

Luke 10:38-42 38 Now while they were on their way, Jesus entered a village [called Bethany], and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home.39 She had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was continually listening to His teaching. 40 But Martha was very busy and distracted with all of her serving responsibilities; and she approached Him and said, “Lord, is it of no concern to You that my sister has left me to do the serving alone? Tell her to help me and do her part.” 41 But the Lord replied to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered and anxious about so many things; 42 but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part [that which is to her advantage], which will not be taken away from her.”

 

Katrina talked about focusing on the why. She is the only person in the four person group in Canyon that has a car. She helps the group get around to ACMNP events, services at Norris and some fun events. Well her power steering went out on her car. While she could drive it doing so was very hard. It was also dangerous due to the narrow winding roads.

To get it fixed she had to drive it to Cody which is 2+ hours with perfect traffic, which is never the case especially since NPS is doing construction in that area.

On the drive to Cody she was asking God why. Why issues with her car when it was needed by her and the team doing ministry in Canyon. Why issues with her car when money is tight for her.

While asking God why she was strongly reminded of the story of Mary and Martha and to not be anxious. She made it to Cody fine with a friend following to bring her back. She found out that the issue with her car was under a recall so it would be free. She also learned that she loved the drive to Cody and now that is her favorite drive so far in the Yellowstone area.

I loved how she put it. God turned her why into a wow!

Let me say that again.

God turned WHY into WOW!

 

We went out hiking together between the morning and evening services.

ACMNP Sunday

Isaiah 6 In the year that King Uzziah died,

Logan spoke about how this was a big deal with the people of Israel. While a small statement to start the chapter with it means a lot. Uzziah reigned for over 50 year. This was the only leader many people had know. Many people felt lost.

I saw [in a vision] the Lord sitting on a throne, high and exalted, with the train of His royal robe filling the [most holy part of the] temple. 

Even with people feeling lost God was still in control.

“Woe is me! For I am ruined,
Because I am a man of [ceremonially] unclean lips,
And I live among a people of unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.” 

When we get a glimmer of God we see how low we really are.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” 

Now you have heard this quoted a billion times. Logan unpacked it this way.

  1.  Something big happens in your life. He focused on someone leaving or being removed that you looked up to. For him is was his pastor. His pastor  helped him get the place with ACMNP. His pastor encouraged him with his faith. Logan looked up to his pastor greatly. Logan’s pastor got caught up in something that he shouldn’t have been in and was removed from his position. Logan’s pastor was his King Uzziah. Who or what is your King Uzziah?
  2. In turning to the Lord we can feel so small and worthless especially when we are dealing with our King Uzziah moment.
  3. Being in our King Uzziah moment and feeling so small if we trust and reach out to God he can use us. Here I am. Send me.

Sunday with ACMNP

Stahr gave the message today. She talked about sharing Christ with others. Her example was someone saying they like Jesus and all, but they don’t like all the rules and things. Her scripture was Romans 8.

Romans 8: Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior]. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

She described God as being a good parent. Like are earthly parents who set boundaries for us with TV time and knowing where we were. This was because they loved us and wanted the best for us. God is the same way. True love is not just letting someone do whatever they want to do. Many times if left to just ourselves we will do the wrong thing. Love is helping someone be safe and a be a better human being.

She covered that Jesus took the blame for us because we could never live a perfect life. Jesus doesn’t bind us, He sets us free. He defeated death so we could live.

So you can now answer the question about all those Christian rules and such.

Sunday with ACMNP

Snow was deeper in the Canyon area.

This was the path to the amphitheater where the service was going to be.

The service was about everyone being welcomed in God’s Kingdom. Caleb gave three examples that made this message new to me. I have heard that all are welcome my entire life. Caleb’s first example was Simon the magician. Simon was clearing doing things that the message from God says not to do yet Simon was welcomed into the Kingdom. The second example was an Ethiopian eunuch. These people were not accepted by others and many times they were shunned. Yet in this example he was welcomed. Lastly he talked about Paul’s conversion. Paul was attacking the Church and killing Christians and even he was welcomed. If you are doing things against God’s will, are an outcast or even attacking Christians God still welcomes you. We have to learn this lesson and see people like God sees them and welcome them with God’s Love.

After the service I had to go do some work. Saw a large black bear on the way to Grant.

On the way home saw two grizzlies. They were chasing each other some.

And an elk welcomed me home.
